The 7th Hongqiao International Economic Forum (HQF) is set to take place in November 2024 in Shanghai, alongside the China International Import Expo (CIIE). This year's forum, themed "High-Standard Opening Up for Universally Beneficial and Inclusive Economic Globalization," will convene international leaders, top economists, and entrepreneurs to tackle pressing global challenges. Key discussions will focus on topics such as industrial development, sustainable urban construction, trade under climate change, artificial intelligence, new energy storage, and new energy vehicles.
A significant highlight of the forum will be the release of the World Openness Report 2024, which will provide critical insights into how countries and regions are navigating the complexities of a connected world. The report, published annually since the 4th CIIE, assesses global openness in areas such as trade, finance, infrastructure, climate, and policies, underscoring the need for renewed global cooperation.
