This route, the first of its kind for Wuhu Xuanzhou Airport, signifies Wuhu’s commitment to increasing its global economic integration and opening up to international markets.
Significant Milestone for Wuhu Xuanzhou Airport
The launch of the Wuhu-Hanoi route is a major step in establishing Wuhu as a competitive international air cargo hub. Approved for cargo business in March 2023 by the National Port Management Office, the airport commenced operations in April 2021. Currently, it operates 41 passenger routes and 6 all-cargo routes.
Impressive Growth in Throughput
In 2023, Wuhu Xuanzhou Airport saw a passenger throughput of 1.23 million, a 218% increase, and cargo and mail throughput exceeding 20,000 tonnes, up 314% year-on-year.
