JD Airlines Launches First International Air Cargo Route from Wuhu to Hanoi

[cs_content _p=’3658′][cs_element_section _id=”1″ ][cs_element_layout_row _id=”2″ ][cs_element_layout_column _id=”3″ ][cs_element_text _id=”4″ ][cs_content_seo]On Friday, JD Airlines successfully landed an airplane at Wuhu Xuanzhou Airport in Anhui province, marking the inaugural flight of a new international air cargo route connecting Wuhu City with Hanoi, Vietnam. This route, the first of its kind for Wuhu Xuanzhou Airport, signifies Wuhu’s commitment to increasing its global economic integration and opening up to international markets.

Significant Milestone for Wuhu Xuanzhou Airport
The launch of the Wuhu-Hanoi route is a major step in establishing Wuhu as a competitive international air cargo hub. Approved for cargo business in March 2023 by the National Port Management Office, the airport commenced operations in April 2021. Currently, it operates 41 passenger routes and 6 all-cargo routes.

Impressive Growth in Throughput
In 2023, Wuhu Xuanzhou Airport saw a passenger throughput of 1.23 million, a 218% increase, and cargo and mail throughput exceeding 20,000 tonnes, up 314% year-on-year. The first five months of 2024 continued this trend with 11,600 tonnes of cargo and mail, up 191% from the previous year.\n\n[/cs_content_seo][/cs_element_layout_column][/cs_element_layout_row][/cs_element_section][/cs_content]
