ICC China Arbitration Day 2024: Promoting International Dispute Resolution in Shanghai

Jointly organized by the ICC International Court of Arbitration and ICC China, the event attracted over 250 professionals, including senior judges, lawyers, and arbitrators, from around the globe.
This landmark event aimed to advance international arbitration and dispute resolution in China, offering efficient and professional services for the Chinese business community. Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, highlighted the crucial role of international arbitration in maintaining global economic order and promoting investment cooperation. He noted the emerging dispute resolution needs within the rapidly growing new energy vehicle (NEV) industry.
Jia Yu, President of the Shanghai High People’s Court, emphasized the importance of judicial review in supporting international arbitration and the enforcement of foreign arbitration awards. Alexander G. Fessas, Secretary General of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, discussed global trends in international arbitration and China’s pivotal role.
Key discussions at the event focused on leveraging technology for effective arbitration and the future of the NEV industry. The ICC China also released a Chinese translation of the report “Leveraging Technology for Fair, Effective, and Efficient International Arbitration Proceedings,” providing insights into the use of technology in arbitration practices.\n\n[/cs_content_seo][/cs_element_layout_column][/cs_element_layout_row][/cs_element_section][/cs_content]
