Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), these events aim to boost local consumption and offer a variety of activities for the whole family.

Promoting Local Consumption and Cultural Engagement
This year’s Book Fair, themed “Film and Television Literature,” features renowned writers such as Jin Yucheng and Yuyi, who will share their creative journeys. The World of Art & Culture showcases works from 31 countries, including AI-powered interactive installations. Meanwhile, the Sports and Leisure Expo celebrates Hong Kong’s Olympic athletes and offers a range of sports and leisure activities. The World of Snacks brings together over 1,200 global snacks, providing visitors with diverse culinary delights.

Economic and Cultural Impact
At the opening ceremony, Raistlin Lau, Under Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism of the HKSAR Government, and Margaret Fong, HKTDC Executive Director, emphasized the events’ role in revitalizing Hong Kong’s economy and solidifying its reputation as Asia’s event capital. The fairs have attracted 760 exhibitors, offering a platform for different industries to promote their products and services.

Detailed Insights and Cultural Activities
The Book Fair features more than 600 cultural activities and seminars, promoting literary exchange and connecting book lovers. Highlights include the Eight Seminar Series, which covers topics such as renowned writers, English and international reading, and children’s literature. The Art Gallery features exhibitions on filmmakers like Wong Kar-wai and literary masters such as Yi Shu and Jin Yong.
The Sports and Leisure Expo, coinciding with the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris, offers visitors a chance to engage with star athletes and participate in sports-related activities. The Japan Pavilion has expanded, showcasing traditional Japanese culture and travel experiences. The Hong Kong Playground Association has introduced a new parent-child zipline experience, adding to the event’s appeal.
The World of Snacks provides a comprehensive exploration of global treats, with themed zones offering a wide range of flavors and healthy options. Nestlé’s debut at the event includes new ice cream flavors and special promotions, enhancing the culinary experience.

Enhanced Accessibility and Benefits
Tickets for the three events are available through various e-payment methods and convenience stores. A single ticket grants access to all events, with discounted entry before noon and free admission for children aged 0-3 and adults aged 65 or above. The HKTDC also offers a re-entry promotion for those who purchase full-price tickets for the first two days. Physical ticket sales are not available on-site at the Book Fair – visitors can pay with AlipayHK, Alipay, or Octopus at the entrance.
