Visa-Free Transit Policy Expansion
Since its inception in 2013, China’s 72/144-hour visa-free transit policy has significantly boosted international travel and business exchanges. Recently, the National Immigration Administration announced the expansion of the 144-hour visa-free transit policy to Henan and Yunnan Provinces, providing more opportunities for foreign tourists and business travelers.
Growing Global Interest in China Travel
Following the policy announcement, “China Travel” surged in popularity on global social media platforms, sparking a travel craze. To cater to this rising interest, the CMG Global Chinese Program Center will collaborate with cities covered by the visa-free policy and Sino-foreign cultural exchange centers to establish the “China Travel – Play in China!” special area on CMG’s new media platforms, including CCTV and CMB Mobile.
Launch of Cultural and Travel Masterpieces
Starting this summer, the Chinese Global Programming Center of China National Radio will introduce 20 cultural and travel masterpieces, including documentaries, convergence media programs, and reality shows. These programs aim to showcase the beauty of China’s landscapes and culture, fostering cultural exchanges and mutual understanding.
This initiative underscores China’s commitment to promoting its cultural heritage and enhancing its global tourism appeal through innovative media strategies.
