From September 8 to 11, the 2024 BRICS New Industrial Revolution Exhibition took place at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center, showcasing innovative advancements in industrialization and strengthening global cooperation among BRICS nations. Themed “Building High-quality Partnerships for a New Journey of Industrialization Cooperation,” the event spanned nearly 10,000 square meters and featured cutting-edge technologies and products that represent the future of industrial collaboration.
BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center Pavilion: A Hub of Innovation
One of the exhibition’s standout features was the BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center Pavilion, which showcased over 20 enterprises, including industry leaders like Xiamen Tungsten, SDIC Intelligence, King Long Bus & Coach, and Solex Technology. These companies presented hundreds of products and technologies that reflect the latest advancements in industrialization.
The pavilion provided an immersive, multi-dimensional experience for visitors, utilizing virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and autostereoscopy to highlight innovations such as low-carbon oil extraction models, high-efficiency permanent magnet synchronous motors, and smart marine and shipping big data systems. These technologies represent the future of industrialization for BRICS and BRICS Plus nations, showcasing innovative solutions that contribute to global sustainability and industrial progress.
Fostering Global Collaboration
The BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center pavilion also served as a platform for international cooperation, enabling attendees to engage directly with enterprises, research institutions, and government officials from BRICS and other emerging markets. Through face-to-face communication, participants explored collaboration opportunities, enhancing their understanding of the latest industrial trends and sharing knowledge on advancing industrialization.
Advancing the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution
The BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center plays a pivotal role in driving forward the BRICS Partnership on the New Industrial Revolution. The Center focuses on three core areas: policy coordination, talent development, and project development, aiming to foster partnerships that promote industrialization. Since its inception, the Center has hosted over 40 high-level events, including the BRICS Forum on Partnership on New Industrial Revolution and the Global South Think Tank Dialogue, as well as more than 70 talent development sessions, reaching over 2 million people across 100+ countries.
The Center has signed 91 BRICS cooperation projects, with a total investment exceeding 45 billion yuan. Additionally, it has initiated the construction of the China-BRICS Science and Innovation Incubation Park, which aims to further accelerate industrial innovation and scientific progress across BRICS nations.
BRICS Expo Showcases Global Cooperation and Industrial Growth
Xiamen’s import and export volume with BRICS nations reached 162.343 billion yuan in 2023, reflecting the growing impact of the BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center on global trade and cooperation. The success of the 2024 exhibition highlights the importance of fostering partnerships and sharing technological advancements to fuel global industrial growth.
