On June 24, 2024, the China General Chamber of Commerce-USA and CGCC Foundation unveiled their 2024 Annual Business Survey Report on Chinese Enterprises in the U.S. at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington D.C. Over 300 guests from various sectors attended to discuss the U.S.-China economic relationship and share insights on Chinese investments in the U.S.
Peter Reisman, Co-Chair of the CGCC GR-PR Committee, Managing Director & Chief Communications Officer of Bank of China U.S.A., emceed the event, marking the launch of CGCC's 11th Annual Business Survey. Key findings revealed that while 45% of surveyed companies reported a moderately declined operating environment in the U.S., Chinese companies remain committed to the market long-term.
Abby Li, Director of Corporate Communication and Research at CGCC, presented the report's highlights. John Ling, Founder of LinVest Investment Consulting, emphasized the importance of Chinese companies engaging proactively with local communities to achieve success in the U.S. market.
The event also featured a panel discussion on "Chinese Corporate Presence and Investment in the U.S.," moderated by Shau Zhang of Ernst & Young LLP, with participants including Yujia Gu of HEYTEA USA Inc., Johnson Qin of Shenzhen Capchem Technology Co. Ltd, Zhanfu Yu, and Bella Tu of MINISO Group. The panelists shared their experiences and insights on establishing successful operations in the U.S. market.
