The 2024 China (Fuzhou) International Industrial Expo (CFIE) aims to establish a premier platform for showcasing industrial equipment manufacturing and intelligent technology on the west coast of the Taiwan Strait. With Fuzhou achieving an industrial output value exceeding 1.2 trillion yuan in 2021, the expo will leverage the region’s robust industrial base and technological advancements to foster supply-demand connections and commercial development.
Great Potential for the Fuzhou Industrial Expo: In June 2021, the National Development and Reform Commission approved the “Development Plan for the Fuzhou Metropolitan Area,” positioning Fuzhou as a key player in China’s industrial landscape. The Fuzhou Metropolitan Area will integrate Fuzhou’s urban area, Binhai New City, Fuqing, and Pingtan as central hubs, supported by the urban areas of Putian, Ningde, and Nanping. This strategic development will utilize the three major bay areas of Sanduao Bay, Minjiang River Estuary Bay, and Meizhou Bay, fostering a spatial structure of “one core, three centers, two belts, and three bay areas.”
Mechanical Manufacturing Hub: Fuzhou’s mechanical manufacturing industry is comprehensive, covering automotive manufacturing, shipbuilding, electrical machinery, general and specialized equipment manufacturing, metal products, instrumentation, and machinery repair. With 21 key industrial parks, including national and provincial-level zones, Fuzhou is a hub for high-tech enterprises and IoT industry leaders. The city’s commitment to innovation and technological transformation is evident in its well-structured supply chain and intelligent manufacturing ecosystem.
