From July 1-3, 2024, a delegation from Hainan Province, China, conducted promotion and exchange activities in Germany to foster cooperation in energy conservation, carbon reduction, medicine, wellness, and advanced manufacturing. The 'Invest in China' Hainan Free Trade Port Europe Conference, held on July 3 in Frankfurt, attracted over 500 attendees from various sectors across 12 European countries.
Strategic Partnerships and Agreements
During the event, Hainan’s delegation held meetings with companies like ZEISS Medical Technology, Siemens Energy, and Volkswagen Group. A strategic cooperation memorandum was signed between Hainan's provincial government and Siemens Energy to develop hydrogen energy technology.
Investment Opportunities in Hainan
The conference introduced Hainan's free trade port policies and investment opportunities in high-tech industries, inviting European companies to invest and establish businesses in the province. Several Hainan companies signed cooperation agreements or letters of intent with German counterparts, further solidifying international ties.
Future Prospects
As a frontier of China's reform and opening up, the Hainan Free Trade Port aims to deepen cooperation with European partners, enhancing ties in high-tech manufacturing, finance, bio-medicine, and international trade.
