The event, which brings together 70 teams from 25 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities, features 243 top mechanics and technicians competing to showcase their expertise.

Promoting Excellence in the Iron and Steel Industry
Organized by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) and the National Committee of the Chinese Machinery, Metallurgical and Building Material Workers’ Union, and hosted by Shagang Group, this six-day competition aims to enhance technical skills and foster innovation within the industry. Participants will engage in both theoretical assessments and practical exercises, demonstrating their capabilities across various specialized occupations.

Focus on Innovation and Technological Advancement
The competition also includes an exchange conference on new knowledge, technologies, and industry concepts. This segment will feature expert speeches and presentations on technological innovation and the application of new technologies and equipment, providing valuable insights for industry professionals.
He Wenbo, executive chairman of CISA, emphasized the critical role of skilled talent in the complex production processes of iron and steel enterprises. He noted that as the industry navigates global technological and industrial transformations, the need for highly skilled professionals is greater than ever.

Li Ruiyi, a senior official with the National Committee of the Chinese Machinery, Metallurgical and Building Material Workers’ Union, highlighted the importance of such competitions in promoting continuous learning and professional development.
